It had taken two days to get there.

Two days of travel, including an unexpected overnight somewhere I had never intended to be. By then, arriving had become less a matter of following an itinerary and more a matter of simply continuing.

But finally, I made it.

That evening I looked out across the water, and the clouds were putting on this extraordinary performance. They towered over the mountains, rimmed with light, spilling great shafts of sun toward the earth.

And after everything it had taken to get there, I couldn’t see them as just clouds.

They looked like a celebration.

Yea!!! You did it.

Sometimes a gifted glimpse doesn’t whisper.

Sometimes the whole sky throws you a party.
